Just a peek of the goodies packed. We are working hard at getting the boxes to be sturdy and crush proof.

100+ buckets are packed to the ceiling to keep things in place when lifted to the ship.

Today we started to load up the container. We made 2 trips from the storage shed to the container site. We used our muscles to get the big boxes out and placed them near the left wall. We are waiting on a friend to pick up the desks cubicles so we can place those in the back and fill the rest with personal effects.

Back to more packing plus I need to relax and quilt a little bit. you think??

It has arrived..

Friday morning, made some coffee before heading out the door to welcome the container at its resting place to be filled. Excitment is in the air. WOW I am really moving to Ghana. God is Good!

Waiting, waiting to view the semi to pull in. Here it comes, here it comes! is this like 'the plane, the plane'? James, the driver, pulls in, get the papers signed and were directed to the resting place .

Now the work begins. Gathering ALL the items that are stashed throughout the county waiting to be loaded in the container.

More supplies

Getting some supplies to bring with us. Picking up books for the library, clothes & shoes for others, water buckets. Thank goodness for Freecycle, people are very generous!
Still looking for computers to use in our training area and internet cafe.

Aha the start of a new journey.

Who'd ever thought that I, little ole Cindie, Cindie, would be moving to a third world country? What an adventure it will be! No more 'fast' food joints, no typical stores or resturants( grocery,walmart,kohl's,meijer's,longhorn's,olive garden, Marietta diner,etc.) crazy roadways, foot traffic, new currency and new village languages.Thank goodness British English is spoken.

This is our building under construction to help put Ghanaians to work. Unlike the construction of the States, it is fortified with iron rods and concrete, no fiber board or ply wood. One does not hear or see of many fires because of this.
